Which was quickly Picked up on by radio ones dj himself Kissy Sell Out! Noticing the unexpoded duo and signing the squatters not just to his Label but extended San City High family set to tour the UK Sept 24th 2010 onwards
So who are the squatters ? :
its not just another two guys from the seaside! The game plan was created by Oliver Portamento & Alex Powell, who have been working together for many years not just as DJs but also as successful Promoters, Event Organisers & Producers. Taking influences from Oldskool Hip Hop & Rave then fusing it with today’s modern House, Electro & more experimental genres such as Dub Step, Drum n’ Bass & even Trance. By cut n’ pasting these together, adding chopped vocals & colossal breakdowns they have created a unique big room sound that has closed the ranks between the styles which makes a heavyweight impact on the dance floor.
There productions & remixes have received consistent airing by BBC Radio 1, Kiss100s Galaxy as well as support from a countless list of elite radio & club DJs. Having Remixed and Produced for some of the worlds finest Labels... Universal, Champion, San City High, Simma, Elektrik Playground and many more...
They have both graced some of the worlds rarest clubs, events, warehouses & festivals such as Global Underground, Ministry Of Sound (London), Mixmag Warehouse, Afterparty Castle Party, Electrik Playground, Privilege (Ibiza) & Reclaim The Dance Floor (Voted Mixmag’s 1 Night Worldwide) at Eden (Ibiza) alongside some of the worlds biggest artists including Tiesto, Doorly, 2ManyDJs, Annie Mac, Kissy Sell Out, The Scratch Perverts, Utah Saints, Fake Blood, Jack Beats, Dave Spoon.... the list is endless
Currently The Squatters are working hard on new productions & remixes whilst performing international DJ sets as a duo, also doing justice alongside vocalist & beat boxer Dutch Courage in there new live show. Taking tracks from the forthcoming album set to be released in 2083.
